i’m sorry if i sound like i’m disagreeing; i’m not. 

I. new registration board replacing the existing one.

We should probably add kingdom selection to the existing application format instead of creating a new one because of point V. Xora will link an ERC information page incase humans are confused about the selection. (: (:

II. new map.

We don’t have to create a new map for this; we could kinda isolate the kingdoms in one of the 6 underground surfaces and place signs and warps at the entrances to let players know about this minigame. The 6 surfaces were created to decrease the number of server resets and new maps. It’s probably a good thing if it’s underground because the fortresses are gonna look like griefed houses and newcomers might think we have lots of griefers fighting and that we don’t fix griefs.

III. PvP server.

If you’re talking about a new server and not a new map, Xora likes the idea of creating a PvP server, but we have a few concerns. i’m hosting the server on my laptop, which is laggy and has made it very hot from running one server 24/7; the government is increasing electricity costs which i’m helping my dad pay and my ISP has limits on my bandwidth and data usage that might exceed if i run two servers; please don’t be evil ;-; also, we don’t have enough admins to manage two servers and besides, we haven’t found any problems or complains on people who PvP. .-. 

IV. the sooner the better.

It could be launched by Saturday if i’ve finished your training and i’m not working overtime during the weekends.

V. replacing <::Member::> with <::Color::>.

Meow. This may cause confusion because kingdoms aren’t ranks and do not have separate benefits. Perhaps we should do <::Member::>. For instance, <::[R]Member::> BakingMuffin.

VI. using bombs during kingdom incursions.

Yesh, it’s realistic. But bombs are illegal ;-; if it’s okay, we could use pickaxes and picksaws and win by using strategy and capturing the enemy’s building (have every kingdom indicate a capture point), instead of destroying it. Let’s assume humans have not discovered gunpowder. XD

I agree with Xora, and if you have not noticed, your suggestion is not big enough to be considered a main feature. We have many similar ERCs, examples are the existing ice racing track, maze, pixel art contest and more could be found here [new-eden.boards.net/thread/157]. Even if we do not categorize your suggestion as a minigame, it would still seem like one. Your registration idea is not cohesive with our ranks and I will not abolish the current ranking system for 4 kingdoms of equivalent ranks. New Eden’s Terraria server is not meant to be a PvP only server. We allow our inhabitants to do anything and our ranks are focused on buildings and community events, roleplay and contests. The two arenas should remain available to inhabitants 24/7 considering timezones exist and those who wants to fight bosses may not be online at a time where there is a contest between the kingdoms.

Starting with a new map may cause many issues. The current map has been adjusted to fit perfectly. If we migrate to a new map, it will cause server disruptions among many issues such as members not being able to modify their own house and having to fill in the chest room and signs again. Yes, what you said may be true, that we do not have much to lose. But have you considered that when someone is dissatisfied with the server, they may go around spreading rumors on how bad this server is and possibly even false rumors. Therefor, the administration avoids causing misunderstandings. This server is also futuristic themed and your kingdoms will make it the opposite if we make it a main feature. Your kingdoms will remain a minigame they will be alright in the underground. Like all other minigames, your idea will not be “lost in an empty server”. Xora is scheduling a contest soon and one of the underground surfaces will be designated a mob-free minigame layer. 

It is offensive to some to say that this is an empty server. Our server is located far from where most Terraria players are and it’s one of the many reasons why we have a low player count. They are concerned about the possible lags as as result of long distance and whether the players are fluent in english. Many of our members, numixnousgirl for example, favors a quiet and peaceful server. If you claim to have visited many servers, you should know that this isn’t an empty server. We may not be the best server but we are certainly not the worst. Additionally, the server's player count is just enough to be manageable and low player count decreases lag and computer heat. We will continue this discussion together with Xora and the rest of the administration in the Congress or on Steam. Votes can be opened on the forums if the discussion requires it. Please be reminded not to rush this idea and that it should not interfere with your admin training. Our admins are expected to handle things calmly. Your training shall be completed before we continue discussing about this. Also, to clarify, this server is definitely unique. We’re thankful and do not dislike your suggestions.
